Ângelo Luís comes from Trás-os-Montes, in northeastern Portugal. A land of olive trees and schist, shaped by drought, wind and landscapes that have remained almost untouched for generations.

Audrey Coppede, meanwhile, fell in love with Portugal and its natural beauty. Natural cosmetics have long been a passion of hers: the formulations, the ingredients and, above all, their real effects on the skin.

Together, they spent many years abroad, between Luxembourg and France. Over time, one thing became clear: Portugal is home to remarkable natural resources that remain largely underexplored in high-end skincare. They deserved to be revealed through formulations worthy of their richness.

Our olive leaves are harvested in Vila Flor, in Trás-os-Montes, the region Ângelo comes from, on a 300-hectare certified organic estate. Codium tomentosum, the green algae featured in our Ydrixcell™ complex, is cultivated through certified organic aquaculture in Aveiro, on Portugal’s Atlantic coast.

Neither of them is a chemist, and they have never claimed to be. Formulation is entrusted to laboratories specialising in marine and plant biotechnology, which have been studying and documenting their active ingredients for more than twenty years. Each finished formula is then evaluated under dermatological supervision by an independent laboratory.

What they bring is the choice of resources, the level of care demanded of every formulation, and the standard of evidence they expect. The scientific work is entrusted to specialists in their respective fields.
